Re: Counting Entries

I have found a way of finding out how many entries an author has in the contents. Tools > Statistics > Contents > Author gives me a choice of either a graph or the data. Indeed there is a whole world of choices, within the statistics sub menu. :D These programs never cease to amaze me as to what is ...

Re: Multiple publishers

You need to look at why your book(s) have multiple ISBNs. One reason is that a publisher takes over the unsold stock of another publisher. They might want a different sleeve on it with their brand name on it. They can certainly print off new sleeves, WITHOUT mulching the actual book and reprinting. ...

Re: Counting Entries

Hi Thanks for that, but unfortunately it doesn't really provide the info I'm after. What I really want is to find stuff like an author count in my contents. To explain further I'm working through some magazines and creating a listing on the contents. Select Book (in this case magazine title) and sel...

Counting Entries

Hello I do hope people are still reading requests for help! I would like to count how many entries there are, say for each publisher. There is a lookup view for publisher which has 3 columns, labelled 'Publisher', 'sort by' and the ID number. What I would like is a 4th column, which displays how man...

Re: Hello

Well that's a problem as no longer supported or for sale.
Not sure how to progress, the only option would be to 'acquire' a licence which is no longer wanted.

Kevin from Oz too.

Unable to open database

Getting the following errpr when trying to open a database. "daodbengine.opendatabase failed Disc or network error". I had a hard disc failure and the latest mdb file is corrupted. I have reinstalled BookCAT (10.25 and dll is v 254) onto a new HDD, and with the registration code. I had a recent back...

Searching using wildcards

Thought I'd wake this group up by asking a question!

I have a lot of keywords in the contents. Trying to figure out how to search with a wildcard.

Suppose I was looking for instances of 'Melbourne' or 'Milbourne'.

A * or # or ? in the appropriate spot, gives no results, yet I know they are there.

Re: New members - Please make one post to at least say "Hello"

Do you have a back up?

Or else try Tools > Repair Database.

Re: Last Modified

I approached this from an entirely different angle. I had discovered the 'Forms Designer' method shown by Alex. However, what I wanted to show, was entries that I had altered in to me a significant way. I wanted to see items with meaningful changes & not when it was last altered in any way. By defau...
