Re: Hamsen Files

You can start here ( http://hamsen.synology.me/HAP/index.html ) to get the program descriptions. The downloads page's "Home" points to a broken link.

Re: Auto Organize Audiofiles

You can use any of the fields in CATraxx. From the Help file: In addition to the standard codes, you can reference any field using the format %table.field%, for example %album.referenceno% or %track.custom01%. Be sure there is no spaces in the variable name. Also, I was going by memory from my previ...

Re: Auto Organize Audiofiles

Hello Peer, Greetings for Wisconsin, USA. It should work. I tweaked what you did a little bit. My only concern is when Released and/or Reissue Date are not filled in. Also "/" cannot be used for a file/folder name. I used "-". PLEASE BACKUP YOUR DATABASE AND AUDIO FILES BEFORE RU...

Re: sql-Question

Hi Cally, While it's likely a sql query could do what you're asking, I'm wondering if a custom Track View for the Copy Track Data be a better idea. The problem I have with the sql query is there could be unexpected variances. The song title "Heaven" has many artists. How would you determin...

Re: MediaMonkey alternative to CATraxx?

As an alternative to CATraxx, it fails. MediaMonkey requires audio files. Unless you digitize your LPs, cassettes, reel-to-reels 8-tracks, etc, it couldn't manage them. The website says you can do CDs, but reading other parts give indication that you have to rip the CD before MediaMonkey can truly c...

Re: CATraxx random capabilities

Hi Salvatore
Welcome to the forum!

I created a playlist that is random but also looks at the "Days Last Played". If it's less then a year, don't play it (my collection is a bit larger than yours).
You could have it so it looks for those longer then 7 days.

Re: StampCAT

Hi Allen, Sorry I cannot help. We are just fans of the "CAT" programs that believe they are still a versatile cataloging software. Any updates are provided by the original programmer (Fredrik) and, while no longer expected, are much appreciated when they do occur. My only suggestion is to ...

"Protocol HTTPS not implemented" error

This question was sent to me via an email. ----------------------------- I'm trying to find out if anyone knows how to solve the "protocol HTTPS" not implemented error in CatVids 7.23. I'm using the latest queryinternet.dll file and this function worked fine 2 months ago, but some recent w...

Re: Last issue with title

I am not at a computer where I can test it, but try this.

Code: Select all

SELECT Series.SeriesID, Series.Series, Max(Book.ReleaseNo) AS MaxOfReleaseNo, Book.Title
FROM Book INNER JOIN Series ON Book.SeriesID=Series.SeriesID
GROUP BY Series.SeriesID, Series.Series, Book.Title;

Re: Last issue with title

With MS Access, open the MDB and right click on the query. Select Design View. Then VIEW > SQL VIEW and update the code with the provided code. Remember to BACKUP first!! :)
