Re: blue screen
According to the referenced article it could be malware. Have a read of https://www.file.net/process/cldflt.sys.html . If you can do a file search and find cldflt.sys in any place other that c:\system32 directory then you can either delete it or, safely rename it to,say, xcldflt.sys. Good luck!

Re: Using a bar code scanner with Catraxx and Discog
Yes, exactly. Think of the bar code reader as an extension of your keyboard, where the cursor is is where the typing (or input from the scanner) starts. For me, it has not only sped things up but removed the transcription errors. Those I was good at!

Re: Using a bar code scanner with Catraxx and Discog
I have loaded many Bar Codes into Catraxx with a scanner. The one I use is just a generic USB Scanner bought from EBay (quite some time ago) for $A20 or so. Its not a problem, to Windows the scanner just looks like another keyboard. Using it saves a lot of transcription errors!

Re: Birth / death dates in BC
Ken, nah! Choral music rocks (or is that a mixed metaphor?) I have not got back prior to the early Renaissance yet, before that is sort of all Greek to me. More seriously, why not note the birth (or death date) as 01.01.01 and use the Alternate names field as a comment to add the proper details. I d...

Re: Move some (not all) audio files to new location
If you can find a copy of Microsoft Access and open the Catraxx database file with that you can find the corrrect library file (Audiofilelink), sort to identify the files you wish to change select, and then use find and replace. but for the sake of your sanity, do backup first. I rearranged all my l...

Re: Deleting artists/persons
Harald, Unused records are just that, there is no corresponding entry in the data base so there is no direct way you can go back and see who or what they are tied to. Unused records result from several causes, for me they are often when I have spelt a name wrong and later corrected it. A duplicate r...

Re: Help needed in DAOCollectionGetCount
Rafalg, having googled the error message and found the reply meaningless (to me!) I would start by using the repair database command (Tools/repair database). I would, of course, do a backup first,

Re: Unable to add NEW album that is not in CDDB into boxset
I am possibly (probably!) missing something but could you not treat your 4 "not found" albums as stand alone albums, add them to your data base, add the detail as you normally do and submit to CDDB. Then delete them from your data base. You should then be able to add them to your box set in the norm...
