Re: I wonder if something like this could be done with CATraxx
There are several possible ways to do that: 1) There is Reference field for each album you can use in external program to map it to shelf position 2) or you can utilize two custom fields, for example Shelf No. and Position No. in each case you will need the external app to read the info from CATraxx...

Re: html-export-question
I can see there is an option to edit XSL code for a Track field. But you should be able to write an XSL template for displaying tracks with subtitles.

Re: html-export-question
I am in no way a programmer. All I was able to find is this portion of code that displays subtitles info in album details pane: <xsl:if test="count(subtitles/subtitle)>0"> <br/> <xsl:for-each select="subtitles/subtitle"> <xsl:value-of select="."/> <xsl:if test="position() < last() "> <xsl:text> / </...

Re: Other Book Cataloging Software
I wonder if anyone tried to employ Calibre (calibre-ebook.com) as a book management software. Calibre is about ebooks mostly, but it can manage printed books as well. You can add any fields you need and I believe there should be a feature to import your current data.

Great work, Martin!

Re: Audio Player
Look into Windows Event Viewer - Application log, is there any error associated with CATraxx Audio Player?
Player uses 3rd party library (Bass engine) to play music, but it seems like only GUI (graphical user interface) crashes on your PC. Might be a problem with OS or CATraxx installation.

Re: App viewer discussion
I still keep it on my Android tablet. It's a bit slow so I do not rely on it for everyday use, but it's nice to have a full catalog at my disposal everywhere. Basically the performance issue is most important, everything else can wait. Must be something to do with Android system, since you do not ex...

Re: Classical CATraxx
Thank you for the in-depth, detailed answer, as usual. I am quite happy now utilizing the Lineup feature. I am interested to see this additional info about orchestra and its' chief conductors at various points of time, so Lineup serves pretty well. I am not going to fill the detailed memberships - n...

Re: Classical CATraxx
By the way, how do you prefer to input information about chief conductors for orchestras? Via "Lineup" or "Related To" feature? It seems logical to use the "Related to" field, but the downside is when you relate a conductor to an orchestra CATraxx won't create the reverse relationship: an orchestra ...
