$60 seems reasonable for a lifetime. But it's hard to predict if the software will keep maturing ... or just you... :)

Greetings from New Zealand and another big thanks Doug for the work you do to support the members.
I am another who uses Catraxx everyday. I cannot imagine the day when it is not going to be useful to me. It is working fine on Windows 10.

Kind Regards to all.

Welcome Kalle and jepsternz!
Jepster,
I thought I saw you on the Music Collectorz board. Did the transfer not go well.

Greetings from Germany. I've been using the CAT programs, since the time that PDA's were very popular. I even wrote a program to transfer CAT data to those PDA's. Unlike the PDA's, the program (FNProg2PDA) still exists and is still supported.

Best regards to all,
Tom

Hi Tomvb,
I've given a plug for FNProg2PDA in the FAQ.

Hi to all,
greetings from Germany. Since 2006 I am intensively using Catraxx to keep track of my CD collection, mp3s and playlists. I would be glad if this famous piece of software and its community lives on.

Yes Doug, you did see me there (good spotting) and I did import all my 7000+ albums. Basic data transferred reasonably well to be fair but many custom fields didn't. I find Music Collector adequate but nowhere near as flexible, easy to edit or comprehensive as what we are used to. In hindsight I think my MC purchase was somewhat of a kneejerk reaction to knowing there would be no further development to Catraxx.
For me MC is like my own Record Store where I can browse the collection, check the basics, listen to an album or track if I wanted to. Catraxx, however is more like my own digital Music Museum where I have everything at my fingertips, displayed however I like. albums, tracks, lyrics, charts, artist biographies and discographies, excellent search routines, history of my listening, thousands of playlists are all there.
I use Catraxx 95% of the time and export any new albums to MC every now and again just as an alternative.

Regards
John

Hi, I'm Brock. Originally, a Cascadian from New Westminster, British Columbia, I've been living in Norway the past 35 years 1 month and 6 days (but who is counting). We have most of our 3 500 books registered in BookCAT. Regret not having purchased CATVids for my video collection.
