Additional fields in Book Explorer

Post by crim » Tue Sep 15, 2015 5:26 pm

Hello everybody.

Need help :)

Because I do not understand anything about "xsl template" stuff, I need to add some fields from custom section (example: Custom 09, Custom 20, Custom 11) to Book Explorer. How to do that?

Thanks.

Sorry for my bad english :)

Hello crim,
Welcome to the Fans Of FNPrg forum!

The default BookCAT Explorer does display the custom fields. Have I misunderstood?

Make a backup of your existing BookBrowse_Right.xsl file.
If you have not made other changes to the XSl file you can simply replace your existing BookBrowse_Right.xsl file with the one in the attached archived file.
It will show any Custom field that has data entered.

Yes, this is what i want. This file works perfectly except one field (Custom 20) is not displayed. I need this field (I rename Custom 09 to "Start Read" and Custom 20 to "End Read") to know, how much time was spent for reading.

The update will show all custom fields if there is data. My example only had the two fields with data.

But the other two display, correct? Strange.
I will review the code. It will be later today as I do not have BookCAT on the computer I am at now.
