Before the end of 2017 the board will be down for a brief period of time for an upgrade.
Past experience says less than 30 minutes but I can't predict the future.
Also, there is a high probability that the forum will move to a different host, but that will not happen in 2017.
Thanks,
Doug

Auto Organize Audiofiles

Postby Peerli » Mon Sep 04, 2017 12:31 pm

Hello.

german:

Beim erstellen von Ordner (und Unterordner) der Audiodateien kann man z.B. %album.refernenceno% wählen.
Ich würde aber gern folgendes schreiben:

P\Pink Floyd\(1975)/(1983) Wish You Were Here [CBS - CK 33453]
\%album_artist_f%\(%album.released_year%)/(%album.reissue_date) %album_title% [%label% - %album.catalogno%]\

Kann man es so speichern?
Oder vielleicht besteht in Zukunft die Möglichkeit?

english:

When creating folders (and subfolders) of the audio files, % album.reernenceno% choose.
I would like to write the following:

P \ Pink Floyd \ (1975) / (1983) Wish You Were Here [CBS - CK 33453]
\% album_artist_f% \ (% album.released_year%) / (% album.reissue_date)% album_title% [% label% -% album.catalogno%] \

Can you store it like this?
Or maybe the possibility exists in the future?

Greetings from bavaria.

Hello Peer,

Greetings for Wisconsin, USA.

It should work. I tweaked what you did a little bit. My only concern is when Released and/or Reissue Date are not filled in.
Also "/" cannot be used for a file/folder name. I used "-".
PLEASE BACKUP YOUR DATABASE AND AUDIO FILES BEFORE RUNNING THIS!!

Code: Select all

\%album_artist_f(1)%\%album_artist_f%\(%album.released_year%) - (%album.reissue_date_year%) %album_title% [%album.label% - %album.catalogno%]
should give you

P\Pink Floyd\(1975) - (1983) Wish You Were Here [CBS - CK 33453]

Hi Doug.
I tried it now with me, but apart from the label I get all other inputs not displayed, how it worked with you.

Code: Select all

\ album_artist_f (1)% \% album_artist_f% \ [% album.released_year% {% album.reissue_date_year%}]% album_title% [% album.label% {% album.catalogno%}]

The brace should not display the value if the value is empty (so do not create a gap).

You can use any of the fields in CATraxx.
From the Help file:
In addition to the standard codes, you can reference any field using the format %table.field%, for example %album.referenceno% or %track.custom01%.

Be sure there is no spaces in the variable name. Also, I was going by memory from my previous post. There was an error. This code should produce what you would like, and I tested it. :)

Code: Select all

\%album_artist_f(1)%\%album_artist_f%\[%album.released_year% { %album.reissuedate_year%}] %album_title% [%album.label% {%album.catalogno%}]\

I found the mistake.

\%album_artist_f(1)%\%album_artist_f%\[%album.released_year%{ - %album.reissue Date_year%}] %album_title% [%album.label% {- %album.catalog no%}]\

P\Pink Floyd\[1975 - 1983] Wish You Were Here [CBS - CK 33453]

I had to insert the spaces at my values.
With the curly braces I have blank values hidden.

P\Pink Floyd\[1994] Division Bell [Columbia - 2-476581]

Thanx Doug
