Hi
Can I use the Primary Genre in a first Sort Order (in listings, reports, etc) and the other Genres as second Sort Order?
Sideline question (if answer to the above is "No"): what is the use of the Primary Genre??
Many thanks

Re: Using Primary Genre in sort order
Thanks, Alex.
I know the info that you mention. But my issue is: I don't know how to use Primary Genre as a sort order. I can only use the whole Genre field.
I would like to sort my entries by Primary Genre first and by Other Genres next.
Cheers

Re: Using Primary Genre in sort order
Yes, J.F. Le Deist , this is the hint that I needed. Thanks !!
I was not looking at Primary Genre as an item in itself, but as a subset of Genre. I can't use Genre and Primary Genre in a sort order (BookCAT tells me that I must build an SQL statement) but I guess that I will succeed now.
Many thanks to all.
