Housename / Real author

Post by J.F. Le Deist » Sat Feb 09, 2019 7:48 pm

I need some help or advice from you :
I wish to enter the housename and the real author name.
Where would you record them ?

1° inside the author field, like this :

or :
2° inside the credit field, like this :

The second choice gives :

I would prefer the first choice, but a librarian's or an informatician's advice is always useful.

If I recall (though it's been a while since I've encountered this problem), I usually used something similar to your first approach. I would list the "author" and use the role "Pseudonym" with the name of the real author on the next line with the role "Ghostwriter". Then, in the information dialog for the author, I recall identifying the names under which that author ghostwrote works.

Hope that helps (and I'm neither a librarian or an informaticists, but I do work for a company that has a number of informaticists on staff, so maybe I will have gained some of their insights via osmosis or something).
