Default Data Folder

Post by cmaz » Fri May 29, 2020 6:11 pm

Hi Everyone,

Been away from Catraxx for some time, but now i'm back and want to update my database. Of course i've moved to a new computer, which means an upgrade to Win10 from XP. So, suffice it to say, i haven't used Catraxx in a LONG time.

i've got things going pretty well, but for the life of me i can't figure out how to change the default data folder location. Searched the forum here, but nothing came up. This seems to simple...Help?

Thanks,

chris

Hi Chris
Welcome back!

Download and run the Data Folder Location utility from https://www.fnprg.com/

That should help get what you want.

Doug,

Thank you so much! What exactly do those other two downloads do (export settings & updatesql)?

Thanks again

Export Settings - saves the registry setting from the various CAT programs. Useful when moving to a new PC or to make backups of your settings.

SQLUpdate - Sometimes certain updates/queries can't be accomplished through the CAT interface. This will allow you to run a query to accomplish that.

Do a search of the forum on SQLUpdate for examples.
