CDDB Problems

Post by Randall Mumpower » Wed Jul 28, 2021 6:01 pm

I am having problems with CDDB. When I try to connect to the server this is the message that I get:

An error occurred "CDDB server can't be found" Unable to connect to CDDB server - please check your internet connection and try again.

My internet is working just fine, and I have tried at least a dozen times, if anyone has any ideas to get this up and running, I sure would appreciate it.

Thanks

Hi Randal,
Others in the FaceBook group are experiencing an issue as well, though theirs's are "Socket open failed".

I tried it with mine and it worked fine.

Are you doing an "Add - Download From CDDB" or "TOOLS > DOWNLOAD FROM CDDB" (batch)?

Hello Doug,

I tried again first thing this morning and this time it displayed "Socket Open Failed".

Anyway, I did do the "Add - Download from CDDB" but now I am going to try "TOOLS > DOWNLOAD FROM CDDB" (batch).

Maybe I will get lucky this time.

Thanks

Other users on FB with the problem are now saying it's working. Probable temporary issue with GraceNote.
